SCIENTOLOGY RELIGION
For most of us, our cell phone is a thing of wonder and mystery. We don’t know how it works, we only know it does. Well, it works because engineers figured out the best materials, exact dimensions for components and necessary power, currents, programs, etc.
MEDIA & ETHICS
How an English teacher-turned-comedian, became and expert on “mental illness” is something left out of Joy Behar’s bio on Wikipedia, but hey, she’s on TV so she must be an expert.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
According to recent Hollywood reports, with her show’s viewership numbers doing a nose dive into a parity with “Joanie Loves Chachi” re-runs, Leah Remini is scrambling to find another religion to beat up.

RELIGIOUS LITERACY

After forty plus years, I’ve yet to meet any group of folks with such a combination of drive, intelligence, creativity, insight, wit, intense curiosity and outright quirky, irreverent humor. The bloggers of STAND are among the cream.
RELIGIOUS LITERACY
Multimillionaire and Silicon Valley whiz kid Anthony Levandowski is obviously no dummy. So I can only conclude that he missed a few history classes. The man has started a religion! If he hadn’t missed those history classes he’d realize that starting a religion is the quickest way to get yourself strung up, hung up, shot at or at least laughed out of town.
MEDIA & ETHICS
“Everybody knows” what a cult is. “Cult” is one of those words promoted by the media. Yet if you question anyone using the word, they invariably fall into a blubbering stammer when trying to define it.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
Just start pounding an idea enough times into enough people until, hypnotically, they begin to believe it. Critical mass is achieved when the idea—no matter how false or ridiculous—becomes accepted as reality.
