Rinder & Remini’s Demonetized Anti-Scientology Podcast Now Silent for Half a Year
With their Aftermath hate show cancelled after inciting murder, anti-Scientologists Leah Remini and Mike Rinder launched a hate podcast on iHeart Radio on July 6, 2020.
Entitled “Fair Game,” the podcast claimed its intent was to expose a Scientology policy of the same name—a policy that doesn’t exist.
By February 2022, all commercial advertisers, including Verizon, eBay and State Farm, had fled the podcast. Its last episode was posted on March 7, 2022.
In August, Leah Remini announced the podcast’s next phase, “Fair Game 2.0,” would be streaming later that month on Audioboom, a lesser known UK-based podcasting platform.
“We don’t condone, let alone sponsor hate in any form. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.”
When back episodes of the podcast shifted to Audioboom, all Audioboom advertisers similarly fled from its anti-Scientology hate speech.
Appalled to discover they were inadvertently supporting Remini and Rinder’s vile bigotry, companies and investors informed STAND League:
- “The ad had been placed inadvertently by one of our marketing agencies. They have corrected the mistake.”
- “We don’t condone, let alone sponsor hate in any form. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.”
- “[We have] no intention of targeting advertisements to anti-Scientology audiences.”
- “We reminded our media agency to follow our guidelines which would avoid placement on controversial programming including this particular podcast.”
- “If you see our sponsorship on this program again, please email me the specifics so we can address the error by our agency.”
- “We have stopped and removed our ads from the show. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.”
- “We are no longer advertising on Audioboom.”
- “I have forwarded your email to senior management with a recommendation to remove this [podcast] immediately.”
With the podcast demonetized for the second time and no new episodes for over half a year, anti-Scientologists have recently taken to Twitter to ask Leah Remini and Mike Rinder whether it was cancelled.
Both Rinder and Remini have remained silent.
