David Miscavige, the ecclesiastical leader of the Scientology religion, has been a role model for me for decades.
This man is the pinnacle of leadership and the ultimate in compassion for all peoples of all faiths. He truly cares about what goes on in the world, and improves everything and everyone he touches.
One of the most unbelievable acts of courage Mr. Miscavige displayed was during the pandemic. While leaders across industries scrambled merely to survive, Mr. Miscavige took decisive action—not only to protect our Church, but to safeguard communities worldwide. He commissioned exhaustive research to uncover all knowledge essential to staying well, personally overseeing the creation of educational materials that reached millions—practical, easy-to-follow guidelines on protecting oneself, one’s family and one’s community.
No one asked this of him. Mr. Miscavige simply saw this as his responsibility.
But he didn’t stop at education. Mr. Miscavige spearheaded the implementation of comprehensive protocols that kept our Churches open and safe—introducing rigorous cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting procedures across every public space. He ensured every Scientology Church globally had the equipment, supplies and training needed to protect parishioners and staff, enabling our vital humanitarian work to continue without pause.
And true to his spirit of service, Mr. Miscavige extended this care far beyond Scientology. Through the Scientology Volunteer Ministers and Operation: Do Something About It, volunteers were mobilized across six continents, distributing over 10 million Stay Well booklets in 21 languages and sanitizing thousands of fire stations, police departments, government offices, schools and houses of worship—reaching essential workers and vulnerable communities alike.
No one asked this of him. Mr. Miscavige simply saw this as his responsibility. The work he did and the help he gave had no price tag. His sole motivation was to do something about it—in the legacy of L. Ron Hubbard—to comfort people, make the pandemic somehow bearable, prove that conditions can be handled and improved and give people from all walks of life hope for a brighter future.
Mr. Miscavige’s compassion for all is unparalleled. In my eyes, he is a god amongst men.
It is with the utmost respect and admiration that I say I am proud to know him.
Happy Birthday, Sir.
