Country & Town House Abusing Scientology’s Good Name

Madam:

I read your article by a “guest writer” covering a trip to Los Angeles in which you made a passing but bigoted slight against my religion, the Church of Scientology.

Ours is a thriving, popular, 21st-century religion that has expanded and flourished during its 67 years of existence. In fact you include the word Scientology in your article for no plausible reason. So you abuse our good name to gain illicit profit. Shame on you.

The offending comment illustrates your ignorance and preconceived animosity toward a subject about which you know nothing.

If you really must make mention of my Church, then at least have the courtesy and good sense to find out something about it

We respect your right of freedom of the press. Please also respect our right to practice our religion without commentary of negative value.

Sincerely,
Eva Band
