We are long past the time when membership in a faith of one’s choosing should be grounds for dehumanizing anyone.

Dear Mr. Delaney,

In an era when good journalism is vitally important and bigotry should have no place in public dialogue, it’s at best disappointing how miserably your paper failed when it comes to your recent story ostensibly about Scientology.

We are long past the time when membership in a faith of one’s choosing should be grounds for dehumanizing anyone.

I have been a Scientologist for more than 40 years and in that time I have seen the Church go through a remarkable period of growth. Its growing positive impact on the community and the world at large has been a joy to see.

Giving voice to professional hate-mongering so as to spread bigotry is completely unacceptable.

Sincerely,

David Aden
