Letter to the SF Standard: Cut the Crap and Drop the Bigotry

Fast-forward a couple of millennia and we have your story of July 9.

Dear Mr. Delaney,

Another realm, indeed.

Let’s try this realm: Two thousand years ago, the illegitimate son of a carpenter’s wife gave up a promising career in woodworking to form a cult of a few “true believers” who say they follow rules based on kindness but who actually work to undermine the legitimate government of the land, according to Judas Iscariot, a respected journalist.

Sound bigoted? Absolutely. Fast-forward a couple of millennia and we have your story of July 9.

Cut the crap.

Pointedly,

Michael Scandling
