Dear Mr. Goldston,

I have just learned that the ABC 20/20 show is producing a bigoted program on Scientology, trying to position the religion as harmful to children.

If your source is Leah Remini, please investigate her and her cronies for transgressions against children. You will find them.

I watched each episode of the A&E project she “executive produces” and I can tell you that she speaks in broad abstractions, incites violence and is basically an angry, self-important hothead who I am sure has bullied many a person in her own life. The crocodile tears of Mike Rinder, who throughout the episodes has been stonefaced, are so transparent that A&E edited that scene out of subsequent episodes.

Scientology has been priceless in my life and especially when I raised my son many years ago. It gave me tools to apply when I needed them the most and when professionals or family did not have the answers. I was given no manual to raise my child. But Scientology ethics and morals came close. Additionally, I raised my child in a drug-free environment and only used prescribed medications when one of us really needed it.

Lastly but most importantly to me, I raised my son to be responsible for his own life and decisions starting at a very young age. He has turned into a responsible man I am very proud of.

I have never heard my child mention anything inappropriate happening when he was training. We were very close and he would have told me. He’s not one to sit back silently if there is something he doesn’t agree with. But he is also not filled with hate, and when he sees something he doesn’t agree with, he addresses it.

Please do not do this piece based on ratings alone. Your information is based on hearsay and hate by bitter angry people who are not being honest. May their 15 minutes of fame be over soon—before they inspire more people, teetering on insanity, to take violent action.
