How could I let my friend get away with denigrating another religion and call myself a real Scientologist? We treat other religions the way we want our religion to be regarded and treated: with respect.
With the knowledge that Renate, Tamron’s sister, was murdered and had an abusive partner, I find it unconscionable that Tamron promoted a podcast whose cohost sent his wife to the hospital.
I say: bring on more of these spiritual/religious messages. If it is difficult to get young people to come into church then certain very well-known artists are bringing God to their fans’ ears through those ’ear buds’. And that works for me.
As a child, I vaguely remember listening to adults talk and sometimes argue about whose religion was the “true religion.” This was in New Jersey in the 1960s, and no one ever got too loud but there were clearly differences of opinion being expressed.
That’s the importance of religion, to me. And I know it’s true because I experienced it at that interfaith meeting. And this changed my mind and heart about ever bashing or putting down another’s faith.
It has come to my attention that a group of Scientology apostates are going to appear on 20/20 with a show intentionally designed to attack and create hate toward the religion she was formerly a member of. I believe the source of this is Leah Remini and her show on A&E.
