Solidarity Among Religions Will Empower Each of Us

The attacks against Jews and Jewish institutions is unforgivable and I have vocally stood against them and shall continue to do so. I believe that we should treat each other with mutual respect.

Dear Mr. Efune,

I read Ben Cohen’s piece on the alleged anti-Semitism plaguing the British Labour party and its leader, Jeremy Corbyn. I am willing to take the content at face value, but I take offense at the oblique and inappropriate slur intended on the Founder of the Scientology religion, L. Ron Hubbard.

Notwithstanding that the inclusion of Mr. Hubbard in the article makes no sense as it bears no relation to anything else said, it nonetheless stands conspicuously as an intended derogatory reference.

It strikes me, as I read his article, that Ben Cohen complains of that which he himself is doing—lamenting the attacks against Jewish people. By doing the same baseless act against Mr. Hubbard he perpetuates an unwarranted disdain.

The attacks against Jews and Jewish institutions is unforgivable and I have vocally stood against them and shall continue to do so. I believe that we should treat each other with mutual respect.

I recommend that Mr. Cohen watch Scientology.tv and listen to some of what Mr. Hubbard said and thereby gain some understanding of the man and the aims of this religion, Scientology.

Sincerely,
Edward Parkin
