Houston Press, Your Bigoted Snark is Out of Place in an Otherwise Great Article

In this time of intolerance, misunderstanding, hate and vengeful invective against people and religions, no one needs to add to it. Rather, we all need to find and explore points of agreement and so achieve greater understanding.

Dear Margaret,

This correspondence concerns the article written by Jesse Sendejas Jr. about Jeff Lynn and Electric Light Orchestra’s very recent concert in Houston. Having enjoyed some of ELO and Jeff Lynn’s music in the early 1970s, I was interested in Jesse’s article, but was sorry to see that he felt he had to throw a misplaced skew into it to speak ill of my religion, Scientology. It was a single sentence at the end of the first paragraph, but it had nothing to do with the article and, on its face, is a bigoted reference.

In this time of intolerance, misunderstanding, hate and vengeful invective against people and religions, no one needs to add to it. Rather, we all need to find and explore points of agreement and so achieve greater understanding.

For information about the Scientology religion, our members, our practices and accomplishments, please take a look at Scientology.tv.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Blair
