Dear Editor,

I read your “Recruiting to Scientology” article. The problem from the very beginning is that your reporters lied when they walked into my Church. They said that they were legitimate inquirers when in fact they were doing a covert operation against people of goodwill and faith. In other words, they started with a lie.

Next, we have no evidence that they answered the questions of the Oxford Capacity Analysis (OCA) test in an honest and legitimate way. That they entered the Church under false pretenses indicates that they likely did not answer the questions honestly either.

Further, as they were not honest about their purpose for being there, we are well-justified in challenging the truth of their answers and statements.

In short, we challenge the truth and honesty of your report and article because it was written or sourced to two individuals who lied when they entered the Church of Scientology.

At least have the decency to be forthright with us so we know who we are dealing with and can address your inquiry properly.
