VH1—Why Highlight a Woman Whose Speech Brings Only Bitterness and Conflict?

At a time when some in our society are a hair trigger away from violence, there are those of us who can and will act to do our part to reduce factors that may push someone into an act he or she would not otherwise commit.

Chris McCarthy
CEO VH1 TV Network

Dear Mr. McCarthy,

I am asking you to step up and act to prevent the airing of a recently cooked-up and disingenuous recognition being presented as part of the Critics’ Choice awards that is scheduled to air on June 9th.

In an invented category—the “Impact Award” (no competition exists for it)—is being presented to Leah Remini for her hate filled series that she co-hosted until it was discontinued in February.

If you are not familiar with this toxic series, it provided a venue for many who have an ax to grind and who incite hatred and violence. By way of example, one of her guests, Paul Haggis, stands accused of raping two women and assaulting two others.

At a time when some in our society are a hair-trigger away from violence, there are those of us who can and will act to do our part to reduce factors that may push someone into an act he or she would not otherwise commit.

Please do your part and see that the Leah Remini sham award is cut from the airing on June 9th.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Keith Miller
