Toyota Rejects Ties to Marc Headley, Confirms No Association with Abuser & Embezzler

For years, Marc Headley—a documented embezzler, violent abuser of women and self-admitted member of a cyberterrorist hate collective—leveraged what he said were his past dealings with Toyota to lend himself a veneer of legitimacy.

Toyota Marc Headley disavowal email

As CEO of Mode Systems, an audiovisual design firm based in Castle Rock, Colorado, Headley claimed to have performed contracted work for the multinational car manufacturer. He invoked this past affiliation continuously—publicly touting the Toyota name as a means of bolstering his credibility.

“Marc Headley is not employed or retained by Toyota, nor does he represent our brand.”

But Toyota has now sent STAND League a statement making clear the company has no affiliation with Headley, and that Headley does not represent the Toyota brand—a brand that upholds “Respect for People” as a core value. Toyota went on to acknowledge STAND League’s advocacy and express appreciation for its mission.

“We can confirm Marc Headley is not employed or retained by Toyota, nor does he represent our brand,” Toyota North America’s Chief Communications Officer wrote. “We wish you the best in advocating and defending your beliefs.”

With that, the world’s largest automaker formally and publicly severed any claimed association by Headley and his company.

Toyota’s disavowal is particularly damning in light of Headley’s own recent comments about the auto giant. In an April 2025 YouTube video, Headley boasted of Toyota, his “big client”: “100% every single person knows this company.”
