COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
A bigot’s a bad thing to be. But, theoretically, it could happen to any one of us. For many years (and in what feels like another lifetime), I worked in the film business. Anyone familiar with that industry knows it involves arduous, long days and requires plenty of patience.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
When I was in third grade, I had a teacher who despised me. It wasn't because of anything I'd done to her, and it wasn't that I was a difficult student. In fact, I loved learning, was an avid reader, and was pretty social, so school was a perfect fit. Except for Mrs. Goldwitch.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
Overly tall, olive-skinned, with full lips and unmanageable curly hair I looked odd among both the children of German refugees and poor Southern states. I was raised as a lilly white boy, in a lilly white family in a lilly white farming town.

I'm a Scientologist who has studied Scientology for years. Decades actually. I know a lot of other Scientologists and, while I can't speak for all of them, I think plenty of us want to know why we're mislabeled “a cult.

I am not prone to drama. However, having lived in Los Angeles for 30 years, I am very familiar with it. I try to keep myself busy working on my businesses, helping my family and friends and creating art. I’m generally too focused on that to pay attention to noise and sensationalism.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
There is a great injustice being perpetuated by social media. This injustice creates a “fertile” soil for unfair discrimination, lies, and potential destruction for individuals and organizations. It is the communicating and forwarding of unsubstantiated “facts,” innuendos and negative comments about some individual or organization that color the way we think of him or it.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
On the block where I grew up I played with kids whose parents were Holocaust survivors. What they endured was a terrible note in man’s history.
RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
Historically, the human race has excelled in the fields of prejudice and discrimination. Historically, the human race has then demonstrated—by its actions and attendant consequences—that all such efforts to make others less “human” and therefore targets for persecution have been nothing but destructive, not only to the victims of such crimes, but to the perpetrators.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
I have been a Scientologist for over fifteen years, and very publicly so. In working with my church and its members I am surrounded by some of the most decent, friendly, intelligent, helpful, caring, hardworking (and did I mention funny and charming?) incredible people I have ever known.
