Disney-Supported Religious Discrimination Funded By Boston Beer Company?

A show full of bigotry should never make it onto television anyway, much less a network about “Arts & Entertainment” part owned by Disney, right??? Yet here I sit, typing away, albeit in disbelief.

President and CEO
The Boston Beer Company

Dear Mr. Roper,

It’s utterly amazing to me that in this day and age, I have to write a letter to an advertiser requesting that they withdraw their financial support from a television show that attacks my religion. Seriously, how does it come to this? A show full of bigotry should never make it onto television anyway, much less a network about “Arts & Entertainment” part owned by Disney, right??? Yet here I sit, typing away—albeit in disbelief.

I’ve been a Scientologist for almost 30 years. I’d like to practice in peace, without nasty comments from people on social media who don’t know me, without individuals I used to call close friends distancing themselves from me, and without silent contempt from family members, all who watched a television show from a woman who was kicked out of my church for her intolerably low level of ethics. After Remini’s show aired last year, we are just lucky that more of us weren’t physically threatened.

Take a moment to picture this happening to your religion or, if you don’t have one, picture it happening to you because you don’t have one. Then consider whether or not your company’s financial support of this program should happen on your watch.
