Senseless Bigotry at Australia’s Yahoo7

Would you say that Connor Cruise was “on lockdown” in a synagogue, Catholic church or mosque? I really doubt it. Then why do you feel you can get away with it here?

Dear Mr. Wheeler,

In your article of earlier today about Nicole Kidman and her movie wigs, you make the disgusting claim that “Connor Cruise is said to be in lockdown in a Scientology compound…” There is no such thing as a “lockdown” in Scientology and your blatant lie is shameful, repulsive and bizarre.

Would you say that Connor Cruise was “on lockdown” in a synagogue, monastery, Catholic church or mosque? I really doubt it.

Then why do you feel you can get away with it here?

At least have the courtesy of checking with the Church before publishing such outlandish drivel if you want to be seen as a remotely legitimate news source.

You would do well to consult the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics.
