UN Secretary-General António Guterres delivered an insightful speech when he launched the Fez Plan of Action to prevent hate speech as an incitement to acts of atrocity. The Fez Plan, drawn up in April 2015 in Fez, Morocco, addresses hate speech which causes atrocities against people of religion.

Walgreens is a sponsor of an A&E show featuring previously unemployed actress Leah Remini and other former members of the Church of Scientology that either left or were asked to leave the church. The show can’t really be called a documentary or piece of investigative journalism because it only shows one delusional side of the story from individuals that are being paid to smear the church.

The story of how a new mosque was approved for construction in Bernard Township, New Jersey is a classic case of good news and bad news. First the good news. As of May 30th, Bernard Township will allow the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge to build a new mosque.

There are two versions of a well-known fable you might have heard. In the first one, a scorpion asks a frog to carry it across a river. The frog is afraid of being stung by the scorpion, but the scorpion explains that he wouldn’t sting the frog, for if he did, he would drown too.

It doesn’t matter if one celebrity likes Scientology. It doesn’t matter if another one hates it. The people who live their lives celebrity-watching are not likely to make an effort to improve themselves, period.

On February 22, a murder in Kansas drew national attention. Srinivas Kuchibhotla, who had moved from India to the United States to study aviation engineering, was relaxing in a bar with a friend. A man started shouting racial slurs at the pair and told them to “ get out of [his] country.“
