MEDIA & ETHICS
They show reckless hate towards my religion, and an attack on one religion is an attack on them all.
EQUALITY & HUMAN RIGHTS
Acts of racial discrimination diminish freedom—not just for the oppressed, but for all of us.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
Fortunately for Catholics, of the 8,263 FBI catalogued hate crimes in 2020, only 73 were anti-Catholic. But that’s still 73 too many.
RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
Having been a CEO myself for more than 25 years in one of the most diverse cities in the U.S., I understand the importance and value of diversity in the workplace, and I was encouraged by this uplifting event.
MEDIA & ETHICS
I’ve been a South Bay resident for nearly 40 years and subscribed to The Mercury News, but since it and you continue to hit new lows with worthless hate propaganda, naturally I and my friends are cancelling our subscriptions.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
The world recently celebrated United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, and I wanted to write about it.
TOLERANCE
The entire premise of our nation’s founding is eliminating tyranny from people’s lives. Prime amongst tyrannies to avoid, and one of the main reasons for the settling of the original American colonies, is religious persecution. Freedom of religion—the very fabric of our country.
TOLERANCE
I’ll stand up for truth and fairness and equal rights. I’ll stand up for your freedom of thought and expression. I’ll stand up for your right to use your own discretion. Because you’re worth it, and for me to stand up for you—well, to be truthful, that’s standing up for me, too.
COMBATING BIGOTRY & HATE
Board rooms around the globe, but particularly here in the U.S., must heed well the calls of diversity, equity and inclusion. They must come to the party and take a stand against hate.
TOLERANCE
If you’re about my age, maybe you grew up thinking that World War III would be fought between the U.S. and the Soviets… little did you know.
