Sydney Morning Herald Should Use Writers Who Know What They’re Talking About

There is enough callous, hateful communication spread by unintelligent people on subjects of which they know nothing, for you to add more to that pile.

Jonathan Rivett
Sydney Morning Herald

Dear Jonathan,

I read your short piece maligning the Founder of the Scientology religion and feel very tempted to slur you in a like fashion, but then, why stoop to that level?

Mr. Hubbard is the possessor of not one but four Guinness World Records for writing along with dozens of other international awards.

While you’ve made a few slights to the Scientology religion over the last several years, it is clear that you don’t actually know what you are writing about while seeking to appear that you do.

When looking at your statements it would be as if you write of the Christians as “cannibals” because they celebrate the rite of Holy Communion by eating sacramental wafers and drinking sacramental wine as the body and blood of Christ.

There is enough callous, hateful communication spread by unintelligent people on subjects of which they know nothing, for you to add more to that pile.

Please take the time to review Scientology.tv and learn something of the religion on which you pen.

Thank you,
Edward Parkin
