Enough is Enough Nissan: No More Money to A&E Hate

In this current climate of bigotry, racism and discrimination, enough is enough. It is a fact that overt and covert discrimination is what leads to violence, and right here and now I am standing up for my rights not to have violence leveled against myself or my fellow Scientologists.

Dear Sir,

I feel it urgent, necessary and timely to inform you of something which you should no longer be party to.

As a longtime Church of Scientology staff member, I have suffered verbal assaults from those who attempt to disparage our church and its members. Though not frequent, it is indeed typically borne out of ignorance and prejudice from those who know nothing about the Church.

These I can put up with. But the climate has changed suddenly—time coincident with Leah Remini’s religious hate campaign—and I need to do something about it.

What I absolutely CANNOT TOLERATE is that the cable television network you are currently supporting with your paid advertisements, A&E, has chosen to actively promote and forward a message of KNOWING and INTENTIONAL religious bigotry, hate and fear. They have not only been airing, but actively ASSISTING to create, the current production of the Remini reality TV series—rather, a true to life “mockumentary” of Leah’s own heartless, gutless, and soulless treatment of anyone she’s ever come into contact with at the Church. It’s pure tripe. The Church stands for so much more than Remini could ever imagine or understand.

Leah Remini got herself expelled from the church prior to her involvement with A&E. Her actions now clearly prove how unethical she is.

In this current climate of bigotry, racism and discrimination, enough is enough. It is a fact that overt and covert discrimination is what leads to violence, and right here and now I am standing up for my rights not to have violence leveled against myself or my fellow Scientologists. What Leah Remini represents is an attempt to incite bigotry and hate. It is intolerable.

Neither I nor my friends need an increase of verbal assaults in our lives, nor any potential physical assaults. Please do the right thing by withdrawing your sponsorship of this despicable A&E show.

Sincerely,
James Wycoff
