MEDIA WATCH
I simply cannot believe, in this year of 2021, after all the world has been through, that such vindictive religious intolerance would find its way into what I consider a respected Australian newspaper.
MEDIA WATCH
These statements are bigoted and discriminatory in the extreme. This is blatant religious discrimination. Scientologists in Australia are totally outraged by this attack on religious freedom.

Ms. Romano apparently goes out of her way to find “opportunities” to defame the Scientology religion and spread hateful rhetoric against its members. In an August 2019 article, she strains to fix in the mind of the reader a connection between Scientology and the infamous murderer, Charles Manson. It reflects terribly on Vox that I would have to inform you that this is beyond despicable.

By giving the nod and wink to the likes of Rick Ross and his enablers and apologists, you are siding with a crew that can only politely be referred to as “thugs.” Ross, before donning suit and tie for “exit counseling,” has been the subject of at least three arrests for embezzlement of $100,000 and other sordid activities including theft and kidnapping.

I would tell you that it is a free country and you and all other supporters and members of the Church of the Subgenius are entitled to a sense of humor, but you already know that and are already exercising those rights and freedoms.
MEDIA WATCH
In what world is it acceptable to start off an article with the slur that the name of a global religion “leaves a poor taste in some people’s mouths”? In the small worlds of certain bigots, apparently.
MEDIA WATCH
There can only be one reason why we have not heard back from you. Bigotry. With your silence, you have confirmed you intend to provide a platform for hate and hate speech because “The Real” gives lip service to diversity, equity and inclusion, but the willingness stops there.
MEDIA WATCH
Like the authors of anti-Semitic propaganda in the 1930s and 40s, Andrew attempts to depict a global religion and its members as some nefarious, scheming force, and plays on long-discredited anti-Scientology tropes.
MEDIA WATCH
On behalf of Scientologists Taking Action Against Discrimination, I write to express our profound disgust at the marginalizing, ignorant, bigoted jargon you employ in your article “The Vow Recap: Maybe You Should Talk to Someone.”

While the bulk of our nation has spent the last several months making clear discrimination of any kind has no home in America today, you do not seem to have been following the news.
