This year’s report is grim, citing significant downturns in religious freedom worldwide.

Groups do not bleed. Generalities do not bleed. People do.

“Am I anybody without basketball? Am I still myself?”

Scientologists reciprocate our founder’s gifts to us with the one gift he told us he wanted: for each of us to become our best selves.

All these thoughts led me to a revised message for the back window of that car. One that might make an impact.

Whatever comes, I will continue to fight for religious freedom.

“No bit of American soil has not been touched by Black blood or Black brilliance.”

My relationship with Christ and subsequent knowledge of God will not allow me to be an enemy to those who choose a different path to him.

“Ace won’t let the truth get in the way of his attacks.”

I fight for truth because as a Black woman and a Scientologist, I’ve been hit with my share of lies, hatred and bigotry.
