Established in 1929, RCC is the oldest organization of public relations professionals in the country. As noted on its website, “RCC members promote excellence in the communication of faith and values in the public arena and encourage understanding among religious and faith groups.”
In its almost 90 years of existence, RCC has evolved and become more diverse, first open only to Protestant churches, then welcoming membership from all Christian faiths in 1967 and ultimately all religions in 1972. The

Mr. Parkin expressed enthusiasm about this year’s convention, noting that he looks forward to meeting with other faith communicators and to participating in the plenaries, discussions and workshops. “I am eager to meet with those from other religions and to share information, excitement and opportunities for collaboration,” he said.
