Scheck’s hatred pervading THR with tacky and worthless reporting

Matthew Belloni, Managing Editor
The Hollywood Reporter

Dear Mr. Belloni,

I just read Frank Scheck’s article in The Hollywood Reporter about the Scientology TV station launch.

Scheck’s hostile and derogatory “reporting” of what was broadcast during the launch is so far off the mark, it bears no resemblance to what was actually shown. His distortions and inaccuracies make up the entirety of his article. He denigrates Scientologists who actually go out into their communities on a continuous basis and provide real help and assistance. He belittles the extraordinary accomplishments of Mr. Hubbard. And that’s just for starters.

It would appear that his (and your?) intention is to deliberately present a false picture to someone who relies on his “reporting” to be informed, without actually viewing the material itself. He has reconstructed various parts of the broadcast and created his own skewed version of what was actually there. Wow.

Is this really the type of reporting you advocate?

You are either in the same boat as Scheck and approve of this type of tacky and worthless reporting, or you need to open your eyes.

What say you?

Sincerely,

Tina Phillips
