L.A. STAND Chapter Reviews First Quarter

Scientologists from all walks of life came together in North Hollywood, California, at the Church of Scientology of San Fernando Valley to review the first quarter of the year and discuss the latest successes of the STAND movement since website launch.

STAND LA NoHo Reviews

STAND, Scientologists Taking Action Against Discrimination, is a vital initiative launched by Scientologists fed up with religious intolerance and determined to put an end to hate and discrimination against members of all faiths. Through blogging, letter-writing, protests and more, STAND members actively combat religious bigotry. They stand ready to come to the defense of believers everywhere.

The heart of the new STAND website—and the most popular visitor destination—is the STAND blog, featuring a diverse and ever-growing set of stories, news and views from Scientology parishioners of every background and profession imaginable—many of whom share their deeply personal experiences as Scientologists in a world of fake news and religious misunderstanding.

While its members grow, new voices emerge, world events evolve and the site expands, STAND’s ultimate purpose will always remain: to end forever the defamation and bigotry toward Scientologists and the Scientology religion, and to protect everyone’s basic, inalienable right to practice their chosen faith.

Bloggers and members in attendance at the event received a round-up of the movement’s work and accomplishments along with facts, feedback and statistics. The STAND website, for example, has become a go-to resource for those seeking accurate information on one of the world’s fastest-growing religions and hosts visitors from Huffington Post, New York Times, and other major news outlets. The event also included a section on future goals and plans to achieve them.

While its members grow, new voices emerge, world events evolve and the site expands, STAND’s ultimate purpose will always remain: to end forever the defamation and bigotry toward Scientologists and the Scientology religion, and to protect everyone’s basic, inalienable right to practice their chosen faith.
